Review generation and reputation for a locksmith business
A lockout customer is the easiest review ask in the trades: grateful, relieved and standing next to you with their phone. Most shops still never make the ask. The national median is 50 reviews, the top tenth starts at 319, and 22.4% of listings have fewer than ten. The gap between the median and the top is whether the ask happens on every job.
The system is simple. A text with the review link goes out while the tech is still at the door, with the tech's name and the street in it. A QR card in the van for people who do not want a text. Every review gets a reply within a day that names the job and the area, because the reply is indexed too. Every tech is tracked and paid a small bonus per named review. The mistake is asking for "five stars", which violates Google's policy, or buying reviews, which gets a locksmith listing pulled faster than in any other category.
At two weeks, working means requests going out after every job, a tally per tech, replies drafted for every review, and a velocity of roughly one new review per working day. The reviews guide has the exact words.
